Ivana Živančević Sekeruš

Ivana Živančević Sekeruš received her PhD in literature (2000) from the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Novi Sad, where she now works as a full time professor and the Dean. She attended postdoctoral training at the University of Amsterdam, at the Depratment of European studies (2001/02), where she was also a guest researcher (2003/04). She received a DAAD scholarship for a study period at the University of Halle (Germany) (2004). That same year, as per the Rector’s invitation, she went as a guest professor to the University of Münster in Germany, as well as at universities in Poland (Gdansk, Opole, Poznan, Krakow) (2007), Prague (2008) and Budapest (2010.). In the period from 1990 until today, she went on short or long study period at universities in France, Italy, England, Belgium, Spain, Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria, Russia, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia, Macedonia, Albania, and China. Prof. Dr. Ivana Živančević Sekeruš, by decree of the Prime Minister of the French Government, was awarded in 2014 the Order of the Academic Palms (Chevalier de l’Ordre des Palmes Académiques), for strengthening and developing Serbian-French cultural and scientific relations, and in 2020 she received Commendation from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea for the contribution in strengthening relationship of Serbia and Korea.
