About LITPRAX database
The LITPRAX database contents data on the reception in Slovenia, Romania and Serbia of literature written in Spanish in Spain and Latin America, and in other languages of the Spanish state. The Spanish and English websites contain a common database for all the countries participating in the project, while the Slovenian, Romanian and Serbian websites contain the databases of their respective countries.
The languages in which the data have been entered are Slovenian, Romanian and Serbian (both Cyrillic and Latin alphabet).
The starting point of the database is the author's contact details and the data concerning his/her work, although the data in the database describe him/her from the point of view of his/her reception.
Basically, the entry types are divided into 5 main groups, reflected in this selection list:
- ORIGINAL WORKS: gathers data on the author and the original work.
- ARTICLES: data referring directly to the author and not to a specific work.
- AUTHORS: collects data on the authors of the original works, their translators, illustrators, editors, publishers and other literary mediators.
- REVIEWS: information about the reception of a translation.
- TRANSLATIONS: data on the translation of a work.
The database allows you to search by category (original works, articles, reviews, authors and translations).
If you click on a selected category, the most recent entries will be displayed. You can also enter the name of the author you wish to search for in the search bar. To start a search, click on the magnifying glass to the right of the search bar.
The database also allows you to perform advanced searches by selecting different search criteria (click on the + sign to open additional search criteria), sorting (sort sign to the left of the plus sign) and displaying results on the page (under results there is a field where you can enter the number of results you want to display).
