International Congress of Americanists

At the 57th International Congress of Americanists ICA 2023, held in the Brazilian city of Foz de Iguazú, Bojana Kovačević Petrović presented the University of Novi Sad as part of the candidacy (obtained) for the next ICA Novi Sad 2025 congress. Her detailed presentation also covered the LITPRAX project.

Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme

On 25-26 May and 29 May to 2 June 2023 the University of Novi Sad was the host of its first Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP). The process of internationalisation in higher education, science, and university services represents one of the strategic areas of many European universities.

International Week of the Spanish Language at the University of Cádiz

In the period from 15th to 19th May 2023 Bojana Kovačević Petrović participated in the International Week of the Spanish Language at the University of Cádiz, where on May 17th she presented at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Novi Sad, the development of Hispanic studies in Serbia, the programs implemented in the last decade, and the current projects, including LITPRAX. Professors from universities in Senegal, Uzbekistan, Poland, Spain and Ivory Coast also participated in this event.

CEEPUS

The Jornadas Iberoamericanas, organized by the Ibero-American Center of the University of Pécs, which has reached its sixteenth edition in 2023, is organized every year in the first week of May. Since 2015, this academic event has been organized together with the Pázmány Péter Catholic University as the CEEPUS Spring School of the Central European Hispanist Network and attracts numerous students from the 22 universities in Central and Southeast Europe that are part of this professional association.

Litprax in Novi Sad

Within the framework of the Erasmus+ project LITPRAX: Literature in Praxis: Professional challenges of reading, translating and editing in the digital age - coordinated by the University of Ljubljana (Slovenia) with the University of Novi Sad (Serbia), the University of the West of Timișoara (Romania), the Spanish National Research Council (Spain) and the publishing house MALINC (Slovenia) - the first LITPRAX Workshop was held between March 21st and 23rd at the University of Novi Sad, in a hybrid format (face-to-face and virtual).

Presentation of books and projects in 2023

On 1 March 2023, Dr Barbara Pregelj from the publishing house Malinc presented the international projects implemented by the publishing house Malinc and the books to be published in 2023 to 80 participants of the full-day training, mainly librarians, at the Ljubljana City Library in the framework of a day dedicated to the presentation of publishing houses.

Hand in hand: international cultural projects with Spanish partners

How is the Spanish cultural and literary reality revealed through the cooperation of their institutions with Slovenian ones? Transylvania University of Braşov

On November 17 and 18 2022, the Transylvania University of Braşov hosted the annual colloquium of the Romanian Professional Association for Comparative and General Literature (ALGCR), whose topic was “Translation and transfer”. Within the framework of her presentation "Miguel Ángel Asturias and Latin American literature in the context of Romanian socialist culture", dr. Ilinca Ilian presented the LITPRAX project.
